The Autumn Cleanup of the Monksfield Park estate, organized by the Monksfield Park Residents Association, was a resounding success. One of the major tasks undertaken was trimming back a large hedge that had become severely overgrown, rendering the path beside it unusable. Thanks to the dedicated efforts of our residents who volunteered, the hedge was cut back, reopening the path and eliminating the hazards it posed. Additionally, the volunteers worked tirelessly to clean up the abundance of autumn leaves and remove weeds from the curbsides, ensuring the paths were safe and accessible for everyone.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all those who participated in the cleanup. Your hard work and community spirit have made a significant difference in maintaining the beauty and safety of Monksfield Park. Your contributions have not only improved the aesthetic appeal of our estate but have also fostered a sense of pride and togetherness among residents. We are truly grateful for your efforts in helping to make Monksfield Park a wonderful place to live for everyone.
We would like to thank everyone from both Monksfield & Monksfield Park who have already contributed to the cutting of the grass in both estates. Due to the grass-cutting situation, the MPRA organised a collection between both estates to get the long cut as the summer was fast approaching and the grass was getting extremely tall.
The first cut is expected to happen on Friday 2nd June, but due to the length of the grass on the larger green areas, these will need a tractor mower which will be brought in next week. We would ask that anyone who has not yet contributed to please do so as the more funds we can collect the more cuts we can organise for both estates and keep the grass areas maintained throughout the summer. We are asking for €20 per household.
Contributions can be given to any of the MPRA Committee members, or dropped at #54 Monksfield Park.

We are grateful for everyone who came out to help with the tree planting event on Saturday 9th July. It was a great success, and we couldn’t have done it without everyone’s help! We would also like to remind everyone that there are still plenty of ways to get involved and help make our community a better place. If you’re interested in helping out, please reach out to us and let us know! We’d love to have you on board.
We planted 2 Acer Crimson King trees which we purchased from Fernhill Garden Center. The leaves of the tree are dark red, and they produce small, red flowers in the spring. There tree will grow strong and healthy as they are in the same tree family as the other trees already thriving around Monksfield Park
